Service

Client Services  (includes Lending and Enquiry, and Research, Learning and Liaison Services teams)
For Libraries at Ballarat, Wimmera, Gippsland and Berwick for demonstrated outstanding service and support to students, staff and community based borrowers across the campuses.

The Client Services team has consistently contributed to student learning, the student experience and retention by providing services such as roving across the Libraries and in student spaces outside of the Library to target service opportunities wherever possible.

Research

Dr Savin Chand Faculty of Science and Technology
For his commendable achievements in 2017 being:
  • Nature Climate Change research paper as a lead author; and
  • NESP Earth Systems and Climate Change research grant.

Savin received significant public attention as a result of his achievements with a high level of impact on a local and international level. The topic of his research is relevant to society and is highly regarded in his field as a research leader.

Reconciliation

Professor Ian D Clark Federation Business School
For his work in the area Victorian Aboriginal history resulting in several significant outcomes such as ARC Linkage grants and SPIRIT grants focused on increasing the visibility and status of Indigenous Australian cultural knowledge, receiving commendations for his work with Victoria and overall contribution historiography of Aboriginal people and culture during the nineteenth century.

Ian is the HDR supervisor for students who are studying in this area and he actively promotes reconciliation within the University and community on a daily basis.
