FedUni IoC events and activities
FedUni IoC Showcase #2: 5 November 2015
In this second IoC showcase for the year, Carolyn Johnstone and Rob Davis (Education) presented on their pre-service teacher exchange programs; Grant Meredith (IT) presented results from a survey of Chinese students, who were being taught 'at home' by FedUni staff; Nicholas Prince (Nursing) discussed the notion of incorporating one's own international work experiences to help globalise students' perspectives on their discipline.
These presenters were followed by an international student panel where they discussed their learning experiences on campus in Australia. The coordinator of the English Language Support Program at Mt Helen also contributed to this discussion. The entire showcase was recorded and can be accessed on YouTube.
FedUni IoC Forum: 23 July 2015
Creating Global Citizens
The theme for this year's Internationalisation of the Curriculum Forum was Creating Global Citizens. The purpose of this event was to hear directly from staff and students about their experiences of studying and teaching in other cultures, and to brainstorm together how we see internationalisation integrated into FedUni activities and programs.
Our keynote speaker was Associate Professor Anita Harris from Monash University, who presented on 'Contextualising Global Citizenship Education: Young People and Social Change'.

FedUni International Forum 2013
This web page highlights IoC activities and events that have occurred at FedUni. They include videos of speakers from our on-campus International fora, plus overviews and any outcomes from such events.
In October 2013, the IoC Working Party organised the university's annual International Forum with guest speaker Professor Anita Mak from the University of Canberra.
The other purpose of the International Forum was to encourage participants to discuss the extent to which internationalisation is present across the various sectors of this university and also identify how it could be promoted further. An overview of the forum and workshop discussions can be found here (PDF, 49kb).
