Professional development
Just as we encourage our students to become life-long learners, we also encourage staff to seek opportunities to share and build on their knowledge of student engagement and retention.
Some of these might include:
- Joining a Student Transition and Engagement (STARS) Network Group or other professional network.
- Attending the annual Learning and Teaching Showcase or viewing past sessions.
- Inviting guest speakers (internal and external) to attend regular School or Directorate meetings.
- Engaging with your School retention and success working groups, committees or projects.
The Centre for Teaching Innovation and Quality (CTIQ) offer an array of professional development opportunities, including training and workshops.
Human Resources provide professional development opportunities. These PD opportunities are facilitated both internally and externally, in varying modes of delivery and at Mt Helen, Berwick, Gippsland, Horsham and Melbourne. A calendar of staff development opportunities can be found on the Human Resources website.
You can also access a range of ITS training sessions and resources to enhance digital capabilities and support student engagement, retention and success activities. ITS training bookings
