FedTASK
Federation University recognises that students require key transferable employability skills and learnings to prepare them as graduates for their future workplace and society. These are collectively known as FedTASK – Federation Transferable Attributes Skills and Knowledge.
FedTASK provides a targeted focus on five key transferable attributes, skills, and knowledge that are embedded and assessed within curricula, developed gradually towards successful measures, and interlinked with cross-discipline and co-operative learning opportunities.
FedTASK per AQF level
FedTASK expectations are currently available for higher education programs delivered at AQF 7, 8 and 9.
Mapping FedTASK | Course level
For Course Coordinators: One FedTASK must be evident in the specified learning outcomes and assessment for each course. Development and acquisition of the FedTASK in each course will be captured in fdlGrades.
- For support in embedding and assessing one or more FedTASK in the course curricula, contact your CAD Learning Designer to explore ideas and options.
- For support in documenting the course mapping of FedTASK within fdlGrades, refer to page 1 of the ITS Knowledge Article | FedTASK mapping in fdlGrades
Mapping FedTASK | Program level
For Program Coordinators: All five FedTASK must be directly assessed in each year level, in each program, ensuring each TASK is developed gradually towards successful measures and interlinked with cross-discipline and co-operative learning opportunities.
- To obtain a ‘map’ outlining the spread of FedTASK across a program, refer to page 2 & 3 of the ITS Knowledge Article | FedTASK mapping in fdlGrades
- For support in reviewing the ‘spread’ and scaffolding of FedTASK embedded and assessed across the program curriculum, contact your Director of Learning and Teaching, Discipline Lead or CAD Learning Designer.
