Why is the goal setting window so short it used to run from October to March?

There is significant research to support goal setting as a key driver of productivity, but also employee satisfaction. We all benefit from setting time aside to create meaningful goals and think deeply about our development and opportunities for growth.
As an organisation we want to increase the impact of our performance process and lock strategically-aligned goals down early in the year to maximise opportunity to achieve them.
It is expected that all staff participate in goal setting within the six-week window and engage in deep and impactful conversations with their manager using a growth mindset to explore what can be achieved in the year ahead.
