What are competencies?

Within the development items and goal pages there is a drop-down option ‘relates to’ in additional details.  This allows you to identify the competency that the specific goal or development item relates to.  For example, ‘data literacy’ or ‘influence and persuasion’.

While completing this field is optional, we encourage you to enter the competency you believe most closely aligns.

Over time we will provide additional information and resources on this topic.  We hope to use the data collected to inform development resourcing.  For example, if 70% of our workforce have a goal related to data literacy, we may need to increase training resources in this space.

You don’t need to have goals across a broad range of competencies, pick the option that you consider best fits.
