Is the end date of the goal setting window fixed? What happens if I’m on leave for the full six-week window or as a manager I haven’t finalised goals with my team?
The goal setting window is fixed. At the conclusion of goal setting people People and culture Culture will ‘mass advance’ any incomplete goal records.
Mass advance is a process where the incomplete goal setting phase is skipped, and the record is moved into the ‘check- in’ phase. Managers will be contacted directly to discuss any records that have been mass advanced.
Goals can be added or edited throughout the year so, if your goal setting has been ‘mass advanced’, you will need to add individual goals and development items. View the Goal setting and development items quick reference guide for more.
As a manager, if your direct report has not completed their goals in a timely manner you can arrange for the employee-assigned steps to be manually bypassed. Please raise a ‘goal setting’ case in Workday in this instance so People and Culture can support this process.
