Group Administration

Group  administration encompasses the range of activities and responsibilities associated with overseeing and managing the operations of a group. The following templates and tool kits will assist in your group's governance and compliance.

Model Constitution

Probationary groups can utilise our model constitution as a governing document that outlines the rules of how a group will operate.

Student Code of Conduct Guidelines

The student code of conduct guidelines delineate the expected standards of behaviour for students, offering clarity on their rights to fair and respectful treatment. It is crafted to aid students in comprehending their responsibilities and obligations, offering guidance on maintaining behaviour conducive to a fair, safe, and positive university environment.

Student Manual

The student group manual provides a more comprehensive exploration of the information available on this website. This resource is designed to help groups gain a deeper understanding of their obligations, as well as the advantages and assistance provided by the Student Engagement Team.

AGM & Board Meeting Toolkits

Annual General Meetings (AGMs) play a crucial role in a group's activities. Make use of our AGM agenda and AGM minutes templates for conducting AGMs. It is mandatory to submit an AGM at least two weeks before the Affiliation/Re-Affiliation window to obtain or retain a group's affiliation status with Federation University Australia. To support your group's inaugural meetings, we also provide IGM agenda and IGM minutes templates.

Group Membership Template

Each group is responsible for keeping an up-to-date record of their membership numbers. Utilise our group membership template for this purpose. Please note that the membership needs to be renewed each year.

Engagement Plan Template

You'll need to submit an Engagement Plan listing the details of a minimum of four events you wish to conduct during the year. This acts as a group’s intention to engage the student population. A Student Engagement Officer will be assigned for your assistance at each event.

Federation Advantage

Federation Advantage recognises and awards your co-curricular activities. Explore volunteer and development opportunities on campus and in the wider community and be recognised with digital badges and a letter from the Vice-Chancellor.
