About us

Objective

We aim to provide a range of high-quality scholarly information resources and services to the Federation University community. In doing so we recognise staff and students of the University are central to all that we do. We endeavour to deliver services that recognise the diversity and needs of all client groups; we strive to be both responsive and innovative in our service delivery and to be a vital contributor to supporting the University's mission to offer high-quality learning and research opportunities.

The Library Client Charter (pdf, 160kb) outlines both our commitment to you and your responsibilities – what we ask of you.

The Library Terms of Use (pdf, 160kb) outlines the conditions of use to ensure reasonable and equitable access to library facilities for all library users.

Retention

We are committed to supporting students to stay in their course by providing targeted and mobile services. We will make it easier for you to reach us when you need to and encourage independence through self-service functions. We are proud that while we provide increasing self-service options that you still appreciate friendly face-to-face service and value our staff.

We actively seek your feedback and will work hard to take on board what you have to say so that your experience with us is a positive one.

We continue to work with other university colleagues to bring together student support services in one place and to produce more innovative online and web-based resources that can be accessed anytime, anywhere by you when you need them.

Insync library survey

Federation Library runs the Insync library satisfaction survey every two years. We'd love to hear what you have to say about your library today, so we can continue to improve your experience tomorrow.
