Known issues and outages

Databases and search tools occasionally require maintenance or experience issues and when that happens access may be limited or unavailable.

If a library database or search tool is currently offline or under maintenance we will let you know the details of the issue and an estimated time for when it will be back online.

If your problem is not listed below, please contact us to report it.

Australian Standards Online (SAI Global)

14 April 2022
When viewing Standards Australia please use the 'download' option and not the 'view online' option. We are investigating an error with the 'view online' option and have reported it to the vendor.

The download option should work if you have Adobe Reader and the plug-in 'File Open' installed.

If you experience any problems when using the download option:

  1. check your downloads folder
  2. if the file is inside right click (control click on mac) on the file and select 'open with'
  3. click on 'adobe' to open.

Google Scholar

5 May 2022
When you are searching in Google Scholar and click on “Find it @ Federation” you will get a message “The information you’re about to submit is not secure”.

You can instead view the item by clicking on the name of the item [HTML or PDF] that you are wanting and it should take you to this item.

We have reported this issue and hope to resolve shortly.
