Geoffrey Blainey Research Centre

GBRC temporary closure

The Geoffrey Blainey Research Centre will be temporarily closed from Monday 16 June 2025.  We will respond to enquiries from Federation University staff, researchers and students, but we regret that we are unable to accommodate members of the wider community or drop in visitors at present.

Please send any enquiries to gbrc@federation.edu.au

The Geoffrey Blainey Research Centre (GBRC) is named after the foundation Chancellor of the University of Ballarat (now Federation University Australia) in recognition of his long and distinguished career in academic circles, and his generous donation of books. It is located on the top floor of the E.J. Barker Library (Mt Helen Campus).

The GBRC includes the Geoffrey Blainey Mining Book Collection, the Federation University Research Collection, Historical Collection, Art Collection, and a supervised reading room.
