Apply for an ISBN or ISSN
Federation University Library is responsible for issuing International Standard Book Numbers (ISBN) for Federation University publications.
To get an ISBN please email the Cataloguing staff with details of the publication including the title, date and author.
If need your publication details to be made available to Australian libraries and other members of the book industry you can do this at the National Library of Australia’s Prepublication Data Service.
A copy of any Federation University Australia publication (print and electronic versions) must be deposited with the National Library of Australia and the State Library of Victoria. Please read about your legal obligations under Commonwealth and State Legal Deposit legislation.
If you need an International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) for a new journal, apply to The Australian ISSN Agency.
Apply for a DOI
A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is a persistent and unique identifier of a digital object. The use of DOIs enables the easy permanent identification and citation of your research output.
We can provide you with a DOI for research datasets and grey literature (conference papers, book chapters, theses) through the Australian National Data Service (ANDS) Cite My Data service.
