Timetabling is responsible for allocating available resources for classes and casual bookings at the Federation University campuses.

Web room bookings for 2024 will open on 18th December 2023. Timetabling will release a FedNews Item when web room bookings open.

Web room bookings are now available for 2023. Timetabling will contact you if there is a query regarding your booking.

Connected Classrooms
The following spaces are now fully operational with Connected Classroom Technology and can be booked via 2023 Web Room Bookings:
* Berwick – 902_159, 902_161, 902_G69 and 903_1117
* Churchill - 1E214, 1S210, 1S211, 1S215, 2S125 and 4N225
* Mt Helen - H127, T125, T127 and Y243
* SMB – A002, A101, A102, A105, A211+A214 and A217
These rooms are rich with technology that enables students to participate in classes both in person and remotely from other locations by using in room technology or personal devices. Connected Classrooms can be utilised from an individual campus with remote participants or connected to multiple campuses whilst also encompassing remote participants.
As part of the Connected Classroom strategy towards a business as usual (BAU) model, Connected Classroom delivery for any teaching period will follow an Expression of Interest (EOI) process. Prior to submitting an EOI, teaching staff wishing to use Connected Classrooms for their units are recommended to visit the Connected Classroom introduction resources.

2024
Timetables
Timetabling: HE Semester 1, 2024 PROVISIONAL timetable open for consultation.
Campus: All campuses
Scope: This includes 2024 Academic Terms: Late Summer (2402), Semester 1 (2405) & Winter (2415)
Version: Provisional Timetable – minor critical change.
Duration: 2 weeks of active engagement until 8/12/2023*
Focus: Confirm all staff allocations to activities.
Stakeholders: Academic Leaders.
Goal: Collaboratively reach a confirmed PROVISIONAL timetable by close of period (8/12/2023)*
Next Step: HE Semester 1, 2024 FINAL Timetable will be published Monday 18 December. This will commence the student preference entry process.*
*Nursing Transformation Yr 2 & Yr3 Provisional Timetable consultation will be open from 27/11/23 until 1/12/23 (1 week). The final timetable for these students will be released 1/12/23. This will commence the student preference entry process for these cohorts.

Timetable Post Publication Change Request
Any 2024 Unit additions or cancellations now need to be requested via a Timetable post publication form (pdf, 2mb) by your Program Support Team.
Timetable Data Collector - Staff Availability
Timetable Data Collector is now closed for Higher Education teaching staff to enter their availability for 2024 (all year).
Where no submission was lodged between 17 July – 4 August 2023, full teaching availability will be assumed when scheduling classes.
If you need to change your submitted 2024 unavailability, please complete a Staff availability form (doc,160kb) and forward to the Timetabling team.
Connected Classroom Expression of Interest Process

If you are using a Connected Classroom as a general teaching space (no remote connections to students or other campuses) please review these operating instructions. It is essential that you have a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) to use with the Connected Classroom.

Timetables
The HE Semester 2, 2023, Final Timetable is now published.
Final Timetable can be reviewed via the 2023 Web timetable.
Scope: Semester 2 (2320), Spring (2325) and Summer (2327).
Version: All change now subject to approval process.
Focus: All outstanding staff allocations to honour established timetable.
Goal: Uphold consistent student experience of a reliable Timetable.
Timetable Post Publication Change Request
Unit offering and delivery change requests will only be accepted under exceptional circumstances and must be submitted via a Timetable post publication form (pdf, 2mb) by your Program Support Team.
