2025 Special Circumstances Payment Plan
If you are having difficulty making payment of your tuition fees by the invoice due date you may be eligible to apply for a special circumstances payment plan.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a special circumstances Payment Plan you must:
- be a continuing international student;
- have been financially impacted by circumstances beyond your control. Special circumstances can include major political upheaval or natural disaster in a student’s home country that have impacted your family;
- have no outstanding debts from previous semesters;
- have not defaulted on previous Payment Plans.
The following students are not eligible to apply for a Payment Plan:
- Commencing international students
- Domestic Higher Education and TAFE students

Important information
You must be able to provide details regarding the special circumstances that have had a significant impact on your financial situation and your ability to make payment of your tuition fees.
If successful, the amount due for each instalment will appear on your my Student Centre invoice after your Payment Plan application is fully processed. Please allow a minimum of 10 business days for processing.
If your application for a Payment Plan is unsuccessful your fees will be due by the semester Census Date.
Please ensure you check your Federation University email address (example: yourname@students.federation.edu.au) as all communications will be sent to this email address.
