Student Senate (Higher Education, TAFE and FedCollege students)
Joining the Senate is an amazing way to learn leadership skills, make a significant contribution to improving the experience of other students at Federation University, and stand out from other graduates.
The Student Senate is your student voice on campus. It plays an important role advising how to improve your experience as a FedUni student, including updates to academic policy, facilities & services and on-campus programs. It also provides input on how your Student Services and Amenities Fees are spent. You can visit the Student Senate webpage for more information.
Academic Board and the Learning and Teaching Quality Committee (Higher Education and TAFE students)
Vacancies exist on the University’s Academic Board and the Learning and Teaching Quality Committee. This is an opportunity to contribute to discussions on academic practice and governance across the University. The positions are for a term starting immediately after election through to 31 December 2023. Institute of Health and Wellbeing Student Board Member (Higher Education students)
Vacancies exist for two students - a post-grad and one under-grad – to be members of the Institute of Health and Wellbeing (IHW) Board and we also have a position for a student on our Learning and Teaching Committee. These positions are opportunities to contribute to discussions and decisions which affect all IHW students – and in some cases, students overall. The positions are for a period of two years and we hold a minimum of six meetings per year. Institute of Education Arts and Community- Student Board Member (Higher Education students)
Vacancies exist for two students to be members of the Institute of Education, Arts and Community (IEAC) Board. These positions are opportunities to contribute to discussions and decisions which affect all IEAC students – and in some cases, students overall. The positions are to be part of the IEAC Board until 31 October 2024 and the Institute holds a minimum of six meetings per year. If nominations for a role exceed the number of positions available, an election will be held from 21-23 March 2023.
