FedAwards 2024 – Nominate Now

Our annual FedAwards celebrate the important achievements of students and clubs in a wide range of categories.

It’s our chance to recognise and thank the people who make a positive difference to campus life.

If you know someone who deserves an award, make sure you read the criteria and submit your nomination by 16 October.

FedAwards Gala Night, 11 November (6 pm)

Mark your diaries to celebrate our nominees and award winners at our FedAwards Gala Night in the Albert Coates Complex at Mt Helen. It’s a great way to mingle with fellow students, dress up, dance and celebrate in an informal atmosphere with nibbles, drinks, DJ and a photo booth.

Individual Awards

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander of the Year Award

Recognises an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student who has demonstrated excellent effort in their undergraduate studies, and has made a positive impact on the Federation University student community.

Contribution to the Arts Award

Recognises a student who has made a positive contribution to the artistic and/or cultural life of the university.

International Star Award

Recognises an international student who has made a significant contribution to University life by engaging with or advocating for other international students.

Sportsperson of the Year Award

Recognises the university’s most outstanding sportsperson representing their chosen sport at an elite level (state, national, international or other high performance competition).

Student Leader of the Year

Recognises a student demonstrating outstanding leadership across the university who has championed diversity, inclusion or kindness and contributed positively to building a cohesive university community.

Group and Event Awards

Student Group of the Year Award

Recognises a student-run group, club or society which has been consistently well-run, active and inclusive over an extended period of time.

Best Student Group Initiative Award

Recognises the most outstanding student-run activity or event that provided students with a great opportunity to connect, build relationships and have fun.
