Graduations
A graduation ceremony is a formal event to acknowledge your achievements and allow you to celebrate with family and friends. We have developed robust procedures under our COVIDSafe Plan to keep our staff, students and communities safe.
Students expecting to complete
From 1 January 2023, you will not be able to graduate without a USI (Unique Student Identifier). Please ensure you have submitted your USI to Federation University. Further information about USI's can be found here.
When final grades have been published, potential graduates will be identified, assessed and student records updated. During key periods, this process will be undertaken at regular intervals.
Action required: You must check your unofficial transcript to confirm you have the correct amount of credit points displayed. Students will not be identified if credits or grades are missing.
Once assessed as eligible to graduate, we will email you to confirm your award and provide further information.
You must update your contact details in My Student Centre to include a current alternate email address. This alternate email address will be used to send you graduation information, and must be monitored. Graduation information will not be sent to your student email.
Completion letters
Completion letters will be available 2 days after the results publication date for students with no outstanding grades or study plan issues.
Requests for completion letters where grades have been amended or finalised after the result publication date may take up to two weeks to be processed.
