Building professional skills in the Wimmera
People living in the Wimmera will be able to gain professional skills that local employers need with FedUni TAFE to launch new accounting and bookkeeping programs at its campus in Horsham.
The Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping will be offered from mid-July as evening classes, making it easier for people who are already working to study.
The nationally recognised qualification is tailored for people already working in bookkeeping and accounting roles who are seeking extra skills and knowledge, or those preparing to launch a career as a professional bookkeeper, payroll officer, accounts clerk or BAS agent.
Eligible students will be able to study for free as the course is included in the Victorian Government’s new Free TAFE initiative.
Anyone interested in a career in Accounting and Bookkeeping can find out more at www.federation.edu.au/TAFE or call 1800 333 864.
Manager of TAFE Marketing and Engagement, Bill Mundy said, “The Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping opens up an exciting range of rewarding career opportunities for people living in the Wimmera.”
“Current enrolments indicate a strong interest and need in the community for this course.”
“Our new students will learn the core accounting skills needed to become a registered BAS Agent or Certified Bookkeeper - whether that is across payroll, budgets, activity statements or the latest in cloud computing software.”
