Video Competition on Now!
Grab your camera, introduce yourself with a smile, and say, "Hey everyone, I'm [Name], and I'm here to take you behind the scenes of my volunteer gig. Let's go!" By sharing your volunteering journey, you could win a $100 Prezzee voucher!
A day in the life of a student volunteer - Video Competition on Now!
Overview
National Volunteer Week 2024 will run from 20 to 26 May. To celebrate this event the Federation Advantage Team would like to run a social media campaign showcasing our student leaders and volunteers through short videos across Fed’s social media channels.
Prior to NVW, a competition will run to encourage students to submit short, engaging videos of ‘A Day in the Life of a Student Volunteer’. From these submissions videos will be chosen to be posted across our social media channels. The week will culminate in posting the winning video.
Competition Guidelines
All videos should be dropped to google drive by 5pm on Friday 26 April.
Here are some tips to scoring yourself the top prize. Videos should be educational and fun, and should aim to engage viewers in the volunteer or student leadership role you are taking part in. They should be no longer than 3 minutes and you must have permission from any person or organisation featured in the video. Film in high quality (1080p) and in good lighting.
Take viewers behind the scenes of your role and show them what you do on a regular shift. Think about what other students might want to know like how you got involved, how do you help others in your role, what do you love about volunteering? But most importantly be yourself, we really want to see all the amazing things our student leaders are doing at Fed and out in the community.
