Federation Speech Pathology Clinic Mt Helen
The clinic is managed and run by qualified Speech Pathologists and our Speech Pathology students, as part of their Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) and Master of Speech Pathology courses at Fed Uni.
Available services and eligibility
Children and adolescents (between 3-16 years)
- Early intervention & paediatric support
- Clinical diagnostic and therapy services at clinic
- Multidisciplinary & community-based services
- Paediatric screenings at pre-schools & primary schools
These screenings will help identify issues that might include:
- Problems with pronunciation (articulation/phonology)
- Early literacy skills (phonological awareness)
- Language skills (understanding and expression of oral language)
Adults
- Adult rehabilitation (individuals or group)
All treatment sessions will be run in blocks: We offer assessment and treatment in blocks of therapy of 6-8 weeks duration. If further blocks are required, we will manage this as per our waiting list procedure.
Telehealth sessions are available.
Opening hours
The Federation Speech Pathology Clinic is open 3 days per week from Wednesday to Friday - 40 weeks per year with student supervision at all times.
Referrals
The FSPC Team will triage all referrals and contact clients for appointment bookings as soon as possible after receiving the referral.

The Federation Speech Pathology Clinic is located at Building H, room 203 at University Drive, Mt Helen, 3350. Please see the campus map here.
Parking
Please park at the main public car park off Gear Avenue and East Terrace. You can park and walk to the entrance of the H-building. The clinic is located on level 2.
Directions
- Once you have parked, you will see the building with letter ‘H’. The entrance is located below.
- When you’ve entered, take the staircase to your right to the second floor.
- When you reach the top of the staircase, turn left and you will find rooms H-204A&B to the right.
- To get to room H-203, please take the first right after passing rooms H-204A&B and walk a little down the corridor. You’ll see a printer to the left and a waiting area to your right where you can take a seat.
