Describe the most enjoyable and challenging aspects of your job

Working as a Swing & Dance Captain has many challenges. As a swing I understudy multiple roles (up to ten different roles on some productions) so maintaining and managing that information and being ready to step into any role with a moments notice can be testing. However the variety and spontaneity of the job can be very exciting and the feeling of accomplishment after performing a role for the first time is exhilarating. As a Dance Captain I really enjoy leading the cast through a physical warm up every night before a show.

What are your strongest memories while you were studying at the University?

I made some dear lifelong friends during my time at the Arts Academy. I have wonderful memories of delirious nights in the student lounge and weekends spent in the studios creating and collaborating together. I also have the fondest memories of lessons with lecturers Tom Hodgson & Georgia Taylor, these two influential teachers really inspired me and transformed my ability.
