What are some of your career highlights?

Gaining real-life experience firsthand & learning new things everyday, developing my personal, social, emotional & intellectual health/skills' having the opportunity to participate in regular professional development, and making friends for life.

Describe the most enjoyable and challenging aspects of your job

The most enjoyable aspects include how rewarding it is to see your students develop skills and knowledge based upon my own teaching. It just makes you realise how I (as a teacher) can have a strong impact on younger lives and can be a positive role model to them. The most challenging aspects of my job is the ability to manage student behaviour whilst still being able to cater for all learners within my class.

What are your strongest memories while you were studying at the University?

My strongest memories while studying at Uni would be the friendly and accommodating nature that not only the lecturers had, but also what the facilities and study resources had to offer as well. It made coming to class a lot easier and more enjoyable and I know that I have made some lifelong friends!

Do you have any advice about life after study to pass on to current students?

My advice about life after study to current students would be to continue working hard and achieving the best results possible- especially in terms of making a good reputation during placements and work experience(s). Not only does this help set you up as a hard-working and  dedicated role model, but also opens many other avenues and connections that you may need later on in life.
