Mr Tom Laurie

Director, Corporate Communications and Government Relations

Mr Tom Laurie was appointed as Director, Corporate Communications and Government Relations in June 2022.

Mr Laurie has extensive experience in media and communications, having served as a Senior Media Adviser in the Offices of four Premiers (Victoria and Western Australia). He began his career as a cadet journalist at a daily newspaper in regional Victoria.

Mr Laurie has led corporate communications and stakeholder/government relations for large educational/training institutions, local government organisations and government departments. He has managed communications on behalf of government for complex projects, including the Australian Synchrotron at Monash University and the Victorian Desalination Project.

Mr Laurie is focused on leading high performing teams that are empowered to try new and different things without fear of failure.
