Wimmera
With its TAFE study options, Wimmera Campus appeals to all kinds of students, from differing backgrounds. Fully equipped to meet the needs of today’s workplaces, the campus features a hairdressing salon, a nursing training centre, construction workshops, a media production studio, a library, computer study labs, large auditoriums, video conferencing suites, a research hub and student support services including an Aboriginal Success Officer. From our Wimmera Campus, we deliver education and training throughout Horsham and surrounding regions. The Wimmera Campus delivers TAFE programs and conducts PhD research.
TAFE training is conducted in further education, automotive, electro-technology, engineering, community services, individual support, nursing, early childhood education, building and construction and hairdressing.
The Skills and Job Centre is located on our campus in Building M; this centre offers free career and training advice services with local knowledge for the local community. Services offered include:
- Career pathways
- Employability ‘soft skills workshops
- Employer forums
- Addressing barriers to training and employment
At the Wimmera Campus, we acknowledge the Aboriginal Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters where our campus is located. The traditional custodians for this area are the Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jadawadjali, Wergaia and Jupagulk peoples.
