Centre for eResearch and Digital Innovation (CeRDI)
Through applied research, commercial activities and community engagement CeRDI promotes innovation through the application of new technologies. The Centre has established a strong reputation for quality services delivered across a diverse range of sectors, including agriculture, law, health, natural resources and sport and recreation.

Centre for Informatics and Applied Optimisation (CIAO)
CIAO is internationally recognised for pure and applied research in optimisation, data mining, internet commerce security, virtual reality and simulation, and health informatics.

Geotechnical and Hydrogeological Engineering Research Group (GHERG)
GHERG works closely with government and industry to further improve the safety and sustainability of the open-cut mines that surround the Gippsland Campus. Funded by the Victorian Government (through the Department of Primary Industries), GHERG focuses on the key issues affecting open-cut mines in the Latrobe Valley, including slope stability, groundwater impacts, environmental rehabilitation and the long-term sustainability of mine sites.
We provide a broad range of quality education and training programs and aims to be both innovative and adaptable to meet the skills needs of our region and beyond. Training solutions reflect state and national priorities addressing the training needs of individuals and industry in the specific areas of automotive, building and construction, manufacturing and engineering, food, hairdressing and beauty and rural sciences. National Centre for Sustainability (NCS)
The National Centre for Sustainability is committed to working in partnership with industry, government, our students and our communities to create a more sustainable future. NCS provides educational leadership and undertakes program delivery, resource development, project work and applied research to support the development of sustainable practices. NCS also provides a broad range of specialist advice and training on sustainability themes and concepts.
