University awards record number of Foundation Scholarships

Federation University Australia has presented a record number of 54 Foundation Scholarships at a major ceremony at the Mt Helen Campus.

The Scholarships, which are available to domestic Higher Education and TAFE students, are funded by donations to the University’s Foundation.

Valued from $1000 to $7000 each, the Scholarships were assessed on financial circumstances and commitment to study.

“The University is delighted to present these Scholarships because we know they make a real difference to our students’ lives,” Professor Todd Walker, Chair of the Advancement Committee, said.

“FedUni takes these scholarships very seriously because we are committed to widening access to university study for as many students as possible.

“Past recipients of these Scholarships have said how the help provided has enabled them to continue their studies.”

Meredith Doig Scholarship

Thom Nugent Memorial Scholarship
