FedUni to sponsor Casey Cardinia Business Awards 2017

Posted: Thursday 13 April 2017

Federation University Australia is the new major sponsor of the Casey Cardinia Business Awards 2017.

In its inaugural year, FedUni's Berwick Campus signed up to the Casey Cardinia Business Awards, replacing Monash University as a major sponsor.

Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Andy Smith, said the sponsorship reflected FedUni’s desire to make a difference to the community, local businesses and to the people it serves.

“We believe it is important to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work undertaken by our local business community across the Casey Cardinia region,” Professor Smith said.

“Thriving businesses mean thriving communities. Businesses create jobs, which creates income that leads to spending and reinvestment in the community.

“The Casey Cardinia region is one of the fastest growing in Australia and represents new growth opportunities for businesses to grow and we want to support that with our education programs,” Professor Smith said.

City of Casey Deputy Mayor, Cr Damien Rosario, welcomed the University as a major sponsor to support the future growth in the Casey Cardinia region.

“We are excited Federation University Australia is on-board as a major sponsor of this year’s awards,” Cr Rosario said.

“Federation University Australia is currently transitioning to become Berwick’s tertiary education provider in 2018 and we’re thrilled with their commitment to this region, this sponsorship being an example of that.

“Federation University Australia will play a pivotal role in fostering our next generation of business people. They offer a broad range of business programs so this sponsorship is a great fit.”

The University is renowned for quality education and research as well as supporting local businesses.”

The Casey Cardinia Business Awards formally recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements that businesses and organisations have had across the region.

Comprising of 12 categories including the award for Casey Cardinia Business of the Year 2017, the awards are also an opportunity to forge new relationships and provide recognition for employees.
