Showcasing real world experiences at Federation University Open Day 2022

Posted: Wednesday 3 August 2022

Federation University Australia will throw open its doors on Sunday, 14 August, as it welcomes prospective students and their families to the 2022 Open Day.

Open Day is the premiere day of the year for the public to visit Federation campuses in Ballarat, Berwick, Gippsland and the Wimmera and learn more about their exciting study opportunities and how these are being enriched by the university’s strong industry and employer partnerships.

Attendees will hear first-hand from industry and existing students on the many benefits that come from these partnerships, including students working on real projects in real workplaces, using the latest workplace technologies.

Federation Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Duncan Bentley said these real-world experiences give Federation students the edge over other graduates, setting them up for successful careers.

He said Federation’s commitment to supporting students, including access and inclusion for all, will also be heavily featured on Open Day. According to the Good Universities Guide 2022, Federation is the number one in Australia for first generation student enrolments and the number one in Victoria for student support and social equity.

This support is evident through initiatives such as Federation’s Foundation scholarship program, which makes a lasting difference to people’s lives by empowering them to succeed in their studies. Thanks to generous donors, the university awarded a record number of scholarships this year – 194 scholarships worth $540,000.

Open Day 2022 will be held from 10am to 2pm at the university’s Ballarat, Berwick, Gippsland and Wimmera campuses.

Those who register, attend and share feedback at an Open Day event will enter the draw to win a share of $3,500. This giveaway is open to domestic students only.
