Federation University Australia is delighted to announce the appointment of Alexandra Elibank Murray as the inaugural Director of its new Brisbane centre.

Ms Elibank Murray has 17 years of experience in the education sector. She has held senior roles at Charles Sturt University, South Metro TAFE WA and been responsible for organisational international relations strategic leadership.

Her experience has included organisational strategy development and implementation, business planning and compliance, stakeholder management, team culture and capacity building.

Professor Todd Walker, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Engagement), said: "Ms Elibank Murray brings a wealth of expertise in the delivery of international student education and her appointment will complement the University’s international strategy to expand our offering interstate".

Located at 333 Ann Street, Brisbane, the new centre will initially offer two Masters and a Bachelors program to international students. Operating on a trimester model, the first students will be welcomed in November.

“I am delighted and honoured to be appointed as the first Director of our Brisbane centre,” Ms Elibank Murray said.

“The centre has great potential to be one of Brisbane’s leading teaching sites. Beyond the obvious lifestyle factors, the city is full of opportunities and coupled with FedUni's student centred approach I think we can provide great outcomes for international students.”

Establishing the Brisbane centre is still subject to formal accreditation and regulatory approvals.
