Posted: Wednesday 17 July 2024

Live music, food trucks, campus tours and interactive games will highlight Federation University Australia’s 2024 Open Day.

All are welcome to attend the Gippsland Campus event on Sunday, 11 August, with hands-on sessions in nursing, allied health and science labs, along with family friendly activities including a petting zoo and roaming entertainers.

Open Day is an opportunity for prospective students and their families to explore everything that Federation University has to offer, from hundreds of courses like teaching, nursing and midwifery, to industry placement and extracurriculars.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet Federation’s world-class academics, student club and support representatives, along with current students and a broad range of business and industry partners.

Through connection to local industry, the University continues to roll out its Co-Operative education model, getting students work and world ready with paid placement opportunities in a range of courses.

The 2024 Good Universities Guide rated Federation as the number one university in Australia for first in family enrolments and the top university in Victoria for social equity and undergraduate starting salary. The recently released 2023 Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) Graduate Outcomes Survey also revealed that Federation University was number one in Victoria – and second in Australia – for full-time postgraduate employment with 95 per cent of postgraduates finding full time employment with a median salary of $94,500.

Open Day will be held on Sunday, 11 August from 9:30am - 2:00pm at Federation University’s Gippsland Campus, Northways Road, Churchill.
