Theme: Biodiversity Conservation: Can we Learn from the Past to Foster Hope for the Future

You are cordially invited to the 10th Biodiversity Across the Borders Conference, with the theme "Biodiversity Conservation: Can we learn from the past to foster hope for the future." This one-day conference is designed to disseminate new ecological research findings to natural resource managers, researchers, and individuals interested in advancing environmental stewardship.

Jointly hosted by Federation University, La Trobe University, Deakin University, RMIT, Charles Sturt University, University of Melbourne, Parks Victoria, and other research partners.

Date: Friday, 7th June 2024.
Venue: Federation University, Mt. Helen campus, Ballarat.

The keynote address will be delivered by Professor Peter Vesk from The Melbourne University. Alongside, an exceptional array of speakers will offer their insights on a range of topics, with a particular focus on:

  • Lessons learned from various ecosystems;
  • Emerging themes and frontiers in nature conservation;
  • Biodiversity conservation, industry, and agencies: Achievements, challenges, and future directions;
  • Citizen science; and
  • Connection with nature
