Tools to maintain academic integrity

To maintain the integrity in your work keep the following tips and tools in mind:

• Be clear about the instructions and guidelines for the assignment of task
• Utilise Turnitin text-matching software and review the similarity report. Turnitin (turn it in) is the originality checking software used by Federation available to students.
• Refer to referencing and citation support tools to amend citation and references if needed. FedCite is a good example.
• Make sure your submission is only your work except where you cite, and you only have worked on the assignment unless it is a group assignment.
• Acknowledge and attribute any content from other sources, and get help if you need it. Study Skills offers in-person and online assistance.
