Federation to bring Innovation Series events to heart of Ballarat
Posted: Monday 19 February 2024Thought leaders from across the state with be sharing their insight into various challenges and opportunities in the Ballarat region during a new series of events hosted by Federation University Australia at its SMB Campus.
The Innovation Series is a collaboration between Federation University Australia and Committee for Ballarat, Commerce Ballarat, City of Ballarat and Regional Development Victoria. These free, public events bring together community, government, industry and education to generate creative thinking and inspire change in the Central Highlands region.
The inaugural Innovation Series event to be held at Ballarat’s SMB Campus on Lydiard Street South will be ‘Why Participation, Access, and Equity Matter in Sports’ with presenters including Professor Rochelle Eime from Federation’s Institute of Health and Wellbeing, Steph Mundy, Federation University Alumna and Strength and Conditioning Coach at the Victorian Institute of Sport, and Rod Ward, Moorabool Mayor and former Ballarat Football League Chief Executive and AFL Goldfields Regional Manager.
The ‘Why Participation, Access, and Equity Matter in Sports’ Innovation Series event will take place from 5.00pm – 6.30pm on February 22 at Prospects Restaurant located on Federation’s SMB Campus on Lydiard Street South.
