What are cascaded goals?

Workday is configured to enable leaders and managers to add goals to their direct and indirect reports either as part of goal setting or throughout the year.  These are referred to as cascaded goals.  They may be a variation of the manager’s goal or KPI or could be a behavioural goal.  They are a way to support goal alignment, provide clarity on expectations and drive collaboration.

When you commence the goal setting process you may find that goals have already been added by your manager, portfolio leader or by the Vice-Chancellor.  These goals will be editable and provide you the opportunity to add detail on how you will deliver against the goal, using SMARTA principles.
