Biography
Helen is a Lecturer in Business & Marketing at the Institute of Innovation, Science and Sustainability, Federation University. She has been course coordinator for MBA courses and undergraduate courses for over 10 years. Prior to becoming an academic, she had worked for 11 years in manufacturing industry and global business areas in China and the United States of America.
Her primary research interests are in green marketing, brand management and cross-culture teaching. She has published in those areas with Journal of Asian-Pacific Business, World Journal of Social Science, Journal of Higher Education policy and Management, Australia University Review and presented a number of peer-reviewed conference papers globally and locally. Helen's PhD focuses on firms' green behaviour and corporate governance in emerging countries and has been invited to participate in a central government project in Beijing.
Helen is a passionate cross-cultural educator and her teaching excellence has been recognised both at the school (Teaching & Learning Award, 2008) and university levels (Vice-Chancellor's Award, 2009). In addition, she is active community member and involves with several not-for-profit community organisations.
