Description of the project:

Business Process Automation (BPA) is a process of managing information, data and processes to reduce costs, resources and investment. BPA increases productivity by automating key business processes through computing technology. BPA can streamline a business for efficiency, achieve digital transformation, increase service quality, improve service delivery or contain costs. It consists of integrating applications, restructuring labour resources and using software applications throughout an organisation. Robotic process automation is an evolving field within BPA that utilises artificial intelligence. The practice of implementing robotic process automation results in the deployment of attended or unattended software agents to an organisation's environment. These software agents, or robots, are deployed to execute pre-defined structured and monotonous sets of business tasks or processes. Artificial intelligence software robots are implemented to handle unstructured data sets and are deployed after performing and deploying robotic process automation. Robotic process automation is the leading edge for the adoption of artificial intelligence in business environments. This project will utilise a case study methodology to develop a best practice model for implementation of robotic BPA.
