A brief description of the Project:
Activity are smart textiles woven into quilts that provide dementia sufferers visual and tactile stimulation. Sensors and actuators detect the tactile interaction for micro-controllers to control actuators to provide live interactivity. A prototype apron has been developed. This project involves developing algorithms to use the data logged from Activity Aprons to help manage the condition. The Activity Apron and Logging will be evaluated with participating residential aged care centres.
