FedUni to establish new Support Centre in the heart of Kuala Lumpur
Posted: Monday 7 November 2016
Major step forward for well-known Australian education provider in Malaysia
Federation University Australia is proud to announce it will open its new Support Centre in Kuala Lumpur on Monday, 7 November.
The centre – to be named Federation University Australia Support Centre – will offer the kind of guidance, mentoring and associated support to students, alumni and partner institutions offering FedUni programs, across Asia and Africa, which would otherwise be only available in Australia.
“Our new support centre is the next stage of the university’s internationalisation efforts in South Asia,” Professor Todd Walker, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Engagement), said.
“This development also reinforces our commitment to Malaysia, where the university has delivered leading programs for more than 20 years at undergraduate and graduate level.”
Federation University Australia Support Centre has been established with Red Consulting Group, the university’s long-term partner in the country. It will augment and add value to all the university’s existing operations in Malaysia and the region.
“The university will ensure the Support Centre emphasises all that is best about our campus programs within Australia,” Professor Walker said.
“We will offer the same level of dedication, quality and student experience.”
In 2017, the Support Centre plans further to expand its range of services by establishing its own Teaching Site for courses such as early childhood education, business management, information technology, engineering and healthcare.
With bachelor and master’s degrees available across a broad range of study areas, this Teaching Site will provide experienced staff, cutting-edge technology and international curriculum to enhance your career while studying an Australian degree.
Professor Walker said the centre was a major and strategically important step for the university.
“We have been involved delivering programs and associated activities in Malaysia for two decades and it is time to deepen and expand our footprint in this important and powerful market,” he said.
“The establishment of this dedicated support centre will greatly enhance the range of programs and associated activities we can deliver to Malaysia and surrounding locations.”
The new Support Centre is located at Annexe, Menara Liberty, 1008 Jalan Sultan Ismail, 50250 Kuala Lumpur.
