University shines at Telstra Business Women's Network

Federation University Australia has performed extremely well in this year's Telstra Business Women’s Awards with two finalists and one award winner being associated with the University. 

Professor Marcia Devlin, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Quality), was a state finalist in the Public Sector and Academia category.

Also alumni member Dayle Stevens, Chief Information Officer at the National Australian Bank, was a state finalist in the Corporate and Private category.

Dr Jennifer Fitzgerald, Chief Executive Officer of Scope, won in her category of For Purpose and Social Enterprise category as well as taking out the top overall Victorian Telstra Business Woman of the Year award. She did her Masters degree at FedUni.

“I undertook the MBA program through an industry partnership with Ballarat Health Services between 2002 and 2005, graduating in 2006,” Dr Fitzgerald said.

“I was employed as the Clinical Manager, Physiotherapy at the time. I found the program incredibly rewarding, as it took me into new areas of learning.

“The MBA formed the foundation for my further progression into leadership roles within the health and disability sector.”
