Federation University Australia students have excelled once again in the annual WorldSkills Australia National Competition.
A total of 10 FedUni apprentices from Ballarat and the Wimmera competed in 10 categories in the competition with five awarded medals at the ceremony in Melbourne last week.
One apprentice – Trystan Sammut was awarded a gold medal in bricklaying. There were also four VETiS students who performed particularly well with two receiving medals – a silver and bronze, one a FedUni/Ballarat Christian College student, the other a Phoenix P12 Community College student.
“On behalf of the University, I would like to congratulate all of our students and award winners in this year’s WorldSkills Competition,” Barry Wright, Executive Director of FedUni TAFE, said.
