Biography

Anna has worked in a variety of educational environments including Secondary Schools, TAFE institutes, Adult Literacy and Numeracy networks and Higher Education, which has given her a broad insight into the learning needs of students and a highly developed educational pedagogy. The move into Higher Education was driven by a passion to share this educational expertise with the next generation of teachers/educators. This work has included a focus on a variety of courses and learning approaches, including face to face, online and hybrid, flipped classrooms.

Anna is passionate about assisting all Pre-Service Teachers studying in education practices from Birth to Year 10, to become the best, most professional and inclusive teachers that they can be.

Areas of expertise

Whilst predominantly focusing on Mathematics education, Anna has experience and expertise working in Literacy, Social and Emotional Learning, Integrated curriculum, Technology for Education courses, and working with existing TAFE teachers in Associate Degree programs. This experience also extends to working in Bridging and Preparatory Programs to enhance student confidence and expertise in the field of mathematics.

Research interests

  • As a Scholarly Teaching Fellow, Anna is not required to conduct research beyond the Scholarship involved in her teaching areas.
