Library services at Berwick Campus

Posted: Friday 27 January 2017

In 2017, the FedUni campus Library will operate out of the existing Monash campus Library space. Library staff for FedUni have commenced at the campus and are located in the Library with the current Monash staff. Together, they are collaborating to provide services and resources to both FedUni and Monash staff and students located at the Berwick Campus. For FedUni staff and students, this is as follows:

  • Access to a small FedUni collection in the Library, consisting of textbooks and required reading materials to support the courses being taught
  • Ability to borrow from the Monash collection at Berwick, including the Teaching Materials Collection and anatomical models
  • Ability to request items from the other FedUni campus libraries (Mt Helen, SMB, Gippsland & Horsham) and through Bonus+. Staff also have access to resources obtained through Document Delivery Services
  • Complete access to FedUni’s extensive online (ebook, journal and streaming media) collections
  • Complete access to the Library’s suite of online support materials, including Subject Guides, ‘How-to’ videos and LibAnswers
  • Access to student PCs with the standard FedUni student image
  • Access to FedUni’s printing, copying and scanning services (FMP)
  • Access to all facilities in the Berwick Library, including powered study carrels, group study space, and flexible learning and teaching space

  • Full access to our advisory services, in person in the Library, or via email, telephone or online chat
  • For staff, access to Liaison services, in order to plan and deliver programs and resources aimed at student information and digital literacies skills development
  • For staff, access to the Library’s eReadings, Copyright and Document Delivery Services
  • Access to advice and assistance for all students with disabilities registered with either Monash or FedUni disability support services
  • Access to activities run as part of FedReady and orientation, and the staff Academic Induction Program
  • Access to Student Futures support services including Learning Skills Advisors and the ASK service
