We source copies and loans of additional resources that are not available through our databases or library for you from around the world.

Who can request?

Federation University staff, PhD students, masters students, honours and graduate diploma / certificate students. Please note that staff cannot use Document Delivery to request Learning Resources, these requests must be emailed to

How long does it take to receive my item?

Expect a few days if items are readily available, postal requests of items can take longer.

I'm an undergraduate or fourth-year honours student. Can I request?

Fourth-year and undergraduate honours students who need further resources to complete their final-year project, thesis or research, can make requests through a separate online form with authorisation from a liaison librarian or your lecturer. You may request copies of journal articles or book chapters within the copyright limit (i.e. one article from a Journal issue or one chapter/10% of a Book).

Intercampus journal article/book chapter requests

Students can request copies of journal articles and book chapters, within the copyright limit (i.e. one article from a journal issue or one chapter/10% of a book), held in print at Federation University campus libraries to be emailed to them - Undergraduate and online students need to use the online form. Postgraduates need use the Document Delivery process via their My Library account.

Document Delivery services for Libraries

Federation University Library can supply copies and loans from most items in  its collections to libraries via Libraries Australia.

Email requests will also be accepted if they comply with the Copyright Act 1968, we accept payment via Invoice or IFLA voucher.
