Research interests

Rose’s research interests are focused largely on the domain of social and moral psychology. Rose is interested in exploring how moral values and attitudes can influence behaviour, as well as our perceptions of others or ourselves. Rose is also interested in studying different factors that influence the likelihood that someone will act ethically or unethically (e.g., what makes people more likely to help others or act altruistically, and what makes them more likely to harm others or act selfishly?) and the consequences of this behaviour for the person’s self-perceptions. In addition to this, Rose is also interested in studying attitudes towards marginalised and minority groups in Australia (e.g., Asylum seekers, criminal offenders), and how these attitudes influence acceptance and support for these groups within society.
