Assessment of the effectiveness of a Mental and physical health (wellbeing) training program in a large Steel Manufacturing plant in Australia
By Daniel Renehan

“Mental and physical health (wellbeing) in the workplace is emerging as one of the most contentious workplace issues all employers, particularly in high-risk industries must manage successfully, to meet their legal requirements of providing a healthy and safe work environment. A key scientifically supported research method is using information, instruction, and or training in this area. This thesis evaluates the effectiveness of a Mental and physical health (wellbeing) training program conducted in a large steel manufacturing plant in Australia in October 2022. The program undertaken was shown to be effective in achieving better awareness of mental and physical health (wellbeing) and providing tools for those to better help to deal with fellow workers dealing with mental and physical health (wellbeing) issues in the workplace.”
