Indigenous knowledge shared at Federation University symposium
Posted: Tuesday 16 May 2023The importance of privileging Indigenous Research Knowledges will be showcased at a Federation University Australia symposium this week.
The National Centre for Reconciliation, Truth, and Justice is organising the In Search of Indigenous Knowledge symposium on 18 and 19 May.
Sixteen leading Australian and international Indigenous academics will be presenting on a range of topics, including Indigenous methodologies, data analysis, and standpoint theory.
Among the speakers are Federation’s Professor Dennis Foley, a national and international researcher presenting on Indigenous Standpoint theory.
The symposium is an initiative of Federation’s National Centre for Reconciliation, Truth, and Justice, which provides national and regional leadership on industry, community, and academic understandings and engagements with reconciliation, truth, and justice.
