Research interests

Kate's major areas of research are related to people's mental and physical health, but she is also interested in organisational psychology and the factors that contribute to staff and organisational well-being. She is particularly interested in social anxiety, the relationship between anxiety and depression, obesity and exercise behaviours, chronic illness and people's psychosocial adjustment (coping) to these and other life stressors, as well as people's help-seeking behaviours. Kate can provide research supervision in these and other areas of stress and coping generally.
