Federation University researchers included in list of world's top academics

A group of Federation University Australia researchers have been included in a distinguished list of the world’s most cited scholars.

Each year Elsevier, a global leader in information and analytics, in collaboration with the prestigious Stanford University, compile a list of the world’s top academics based on the number of citations received in the previous year. In 2024, 21 researchers from Federation University have been included in this last as being in the top two per cent in their field – up from 15 in 2023 – in a strong endorsement of the University’s research capabilities.

The researchers in the list represent a variety of disciplines including Artificial Intelligence, Biology, Engineering, Information Technology, Public Health and Sport Sciences. The listed researchers include the Executive Dean of the Institute of Health and Wellbeing, Professor Remco Polman, who also oversees research at Federation University in his role as Pro Vice-Chancellor, Research.
