Victoria's premier regional university goes national with Federation University online
Posted: Thursday 31 March 2022Federation University Australia is further expanding into regional and remote communities across Australia with the launch today of Federation University Online.
The university will initially offer seven entirely online programs based on best practice digital education.
As Victoria’s premier regional university and the number one university in Australia for enrolment of students who are the first in their family to attend university, Federation University is uniquely placed to support students from regional and remote areas, and diverse backgrounds.
Launching Federation University Online provides opportunities for more Australians who don’t have access to traditional campus study, including those who live in remote areas or mature age students who juggle their studies with caring responsibilities or their careers.
Students will have access to similar support services and resources as those who are completing their programs on campus.
Students can now enrol in the following programs that will commence in July:
• Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education)
• Bachelor of Psychological Sciences
• Bachelor of Food and Nutrition
• Master of Health (Advanced Nursing)
• Graduate Certificate in Health (Intensive Care Nursing)
• Graduate Certificate in Health (Emergency Nursing)
• Graduate Certificate (Advanced Nursing)
Federation Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Duncan Bentley said the new offering will enable the University to diversify and increase its number of domestic students and enhance its regional impact through a new educational delivery channel that will help to address cross-regional and national skills shortages.
