Telehealth/Virtual care information
What is telehealth (Virtual Care)?
Telehealth is a way of talking to and seeing health provider whose services aren’t available close to or near where you live. Telehealth uses video cameras, a TV or computer screen to connect with you online. You will be able to see, hear and talk to the health professional, exactly as if you were talking to them in person at the health service or clinic.
How does it work?
- Your health provider (Physio, GP or other professional) will send a referral to us for you.
- We will contact you to make an appointment at our telehealth clinic.
- We will explain the process to you on how to connect with us online and what you need to know.
- After confirming the appointment date and time with you, we will send a link to your email address or phone number for your appointment.
- At the time of your appointment, you will click the link that will direct you to our telehealth clinic. The video call connection is made with our student physiotherapists who will speak with you about your needs the same as if you were meeting in person. Any resources or helpful information will be shared with you in a way that is most suitable for you.
